The German steel pipe manufacturer EUROPIPE GmbH sold its US production company, the Berg Pipe Group, to Borusan Mannesmann Pipe US Inc., a subsidiary of Borusan Mannesmann Holding AS based in Turkey.

Berg Pipe produces spiral-welded and longitudinally welded steel pipes in Alabama and Florida. The company has a workforce of around 400 employees.

The proceeds of this sale will be used to strengthen the main location of EUROPIPE in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.

The strategy of the company will focus on manufacturing offshore line pipes for the transport of natural gas, hydrogen and carbon driven by the accelerated transition to clean sources of energy.
