Everyone is talking about the energy transition – EUROPIPE is making it possible.

During a visit by Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy and Deputy Prime Minister of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, together with members of the state parliament and high-ranking representatives of IG Metall in Mülheim an der Ruhr, EUROPIPE Managing Director Roger Menneking presented the first Ready for H2 pipes made of CO2-reduced steel for the OGE pipeline project Etzel-Wardenburg-Drohne.

The slabs cast in one of the electric arc furnances of Peiner Träger GmbH were rolled to plate at Salzgitter Mannesmann Grobblech GmbH in Mülheim. The PE-coated pipes were then produced at EUROPIPE and MÜLHEIM PIPECOATINGS.

The CARBONLITE-70 brand tubes, measuring 1016 mm x 16.9 mm, have a CO2 footprint reduced by -70%.
