AP Sensing introduces the DAS N56-Series, a next-generation Distributed Acoustic Sensing solution designed for pipeline monitoring and Critical Infrastructure Monitoring. With true dual-channel sensing and a range of 2 × 100 km, the system allows operators to monitor long pipeline routes continuously with a single instrument.

Pipeline networks are often remote, complex, and exposed to risks such as third party intrusion (TPI), mechanical activity, and leaks. The DAS N56-Series provides real-time visibility along the entire pipeline, helping operators detect, classify and localize events at an early stage and respond before they escalate.

Its true dual-channel architecture enables simultaneous monitoring of two independent fiber routes, increasing coverage while reducing system complexity. This allows operators to monitor longer distances more efficiently.

High sensitivity is critical for early event detection. The DAS N56-Series uses AP Sensing’s 3P Vector Technology to capture even subtle acoustic signals with low noise. This supports reliable identification of leaks, excavation activity, and other disturbances that may impact pipeline integrity.

The system is powered by AP.TrustedCore, AP Sensing’s cybersecurity platform, which protects against unauthorized access and ensures data integrity. With secure boot, signed updates, and an immutable system architecture, the DAS N56-Series supports compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act and enables trusted long-term operation.

Dr. Alex de Joode, Head of Pipelines at AP Sensing: “With superior sensitivity and range, the new N56 DAS units deliver real-time, end-to-end visibility of third-party activities and leaks across the entire pipeline. We cannot overstate the several significant improvements the N56 brings to pipeline monitoring with improved cyber security.”

Designed for flexibility, the system can be scaled as monitoring needs grow, helping operators expand coverage while protecting their initial investment. In addition to pipeline monitoring, the DAS N56-Series can also be used in applications such as power cable monitoring, railway infrastructure, and perimeter intrusion detection deployments.
