Uwe Ringel will succeed Heinz Watzka as co-chair of the Pipeline Technology Conference from today.

Uwe Ringel started his professional career in 1984 as Engineer for gas supply technology (FH; University for Applied Science) within the Dispatching Department of the present VNG – Verbundnetz Gas AG, Leipzig. Since 1990 Ringel worked in the Gas Purchase Department. 2002 he changed into the Gas Transmission Department where he was the responsible Director from 2004 to 2005.

Since January 2006 Uwe Ringel was Managing Director of the Network Marketing Department in the newly established network company ONTRAS Gas Transport GmbH, Leipzig. In 2008 he moved within the group to VNG AG as Head of Technology/Operations. Since May 2010 Uwe Ringel is the Managing Director of the Technology Division of ONTRAS.

Ringel is also Member of the Board of the German DVGW Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e. V., Regional Group of Middle Germany.
