The 18 km long Rite Foods Limited pipeline linking the factory in Ososa, Ogun State with the regional gas pipeline hub at Ibefun is complete. Able to carry 150,000,000 ft³ of gas a day, it will deliver reliable energy to the factory, which produces a range of products including Bigi Drinks, Rite and Bigi Sausages and Fearless Energy Drinks.

In a country renowned for its unreliable and expensive energy to domestic customers, this pipeline not only provides the energy security needed for continuous production, but should also significantly cut the factory’s energy bills.

The Rite Foods Limited Pipeline in south-western Nigeria was completed in March 2021 by Axxela Ltd, via its subsidiary Transit Gas Nigeria Ltd and in partnership with the Nigerian Gas Marketing Company Ltd. Commissioned by Axxela’s CEO Bolaji Osunsanya who observed “This venture is in firm alignment with our near-to-long term market expansion strategy and emphasises our push to broaden our asset portfolio and strengthen our market play within the gas sector.

Axxela/NGMC pioneered gas distribution in the Greater Lagos area, and our present positioning enables us to significantly increase our industrial and commercial client footprint across the south-western corridor.”

Nigeria is expanding its natural gas pipeline network to stimulate economic development.
