NMDC Energy PJSC has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Al Gharbia, an advanced pipeline manufacturer based in Abu Dhabi, to boost pipe manufacturing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), NMDC Energy announced on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

NMDC Energy PJSC, a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction services for the energy sector, will partner with Al Gharbia to explore methods for accelerating pipe production within the UAE to meet both local and regional demand.

Al Gharbia is recognized as one of the world's most technologically advanced manufacturers of Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) pipes and an early adopter of Industry 4.0 practices.

The partnership aligns with the UAE's Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MIITE) mandate to drive industrial growth and exemplifies the increasing collaboration among key players in the nation's industrial and energy sectors.

"NMDC Energy continually seeks synergies that will deliver impactful solutions to address the evolving demands of these industries," said Eng. Ahmed Al Dhaheri, CEO of NMDC Energy.

"We are proud to build on our relationship with Al Gharbia to advance pipe manufacturing in Abu Dhabi, serving not only the UAE but the entire region.”

According to Al Dhaheri, “the collaboration underscores the depth and sophistication of UAE home-grown businesses, highlighting how our combined expertise is locally significant yet globally relevant.”

The NMDC Group and NMDC Energy plan to announce several strategic partnerships and provide updates on their international projects in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Taiwan, and Vietnam, in addition to their ongoing work in the UAE.
