DESFA Awards Corinth Pipeworks Contract for a 163km Pipeline of West Macedonia in Greece

DESFA, the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator, on Thursday, February 3, awarded Corinth Pipework’s contract for the construction of a 163km long West Macedonia pipeline in Greece, the company said in a press release.

EastMed Natural Gas Pipeline Deserving Of US Support

At the beginning of this month the United States withdrew its support for the EastMed gas pipeline, a major developmental pipeline project that would have connected significant gas deposits in the territorial waters of Cyprus, Egypt and Israel to markets in Europe. Ultimately the EastMed would have integrated these countries electricity grids with those of Europe.

Uganda And Tanzania Have Finalized Crude Oil Pipeline Terms, Drilling to Begin Soon

Tanzania and Uganda signed a deal with French and Chinese oil firms last week, finalizing a $10 billion pipeline and drilling project. While the project supporters say the pipeline project will boost the two countries economic growth, Ugandan activists said the complaints from the families affected by the government's project hadn't been taken into consideration.

Cyprus Could Export Gas through Pipelines or Shipping it in the form of LNG

ExxonMobil Cyprus arm said Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the country could transport the vas natural gas reserves found off the east Mediterranean island nation to the markets through pipelines or as liquefied natural gas (LNG) as natural gas remains an important source of energy through 2050.

For A Brief Moment It Appeared As If Russian Gas Via Yamal Would Begin Flowing Westward

Natural gas flows from Russia to Germany via the Yamal pipeline came to a halt on Wednesday, data from the German network operator Gascade showed, dashing expectations it was about to pump gas west for the first time since December.  

Gas through the Yamal pipeline, which typically flows west into Germany, has been in reverse mode, flowing east to Poland, since Dec. 21.

Shell Re-Routes Oil Supplies To Other Depots After A Cyberattack On Marquard & Bahls

German Part of Nord Stream 2 Pipeline's Subsidiary Established

Continuing Erosion in Piedra Fina Ecuador Lead to 485-km Crude Pipeline Breakdown
