The ROSEN Group stole the show at this month’s Rio Pipeline Conference by landing the prestigious American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Global Pipeline Award. The Trophy was personally handed over to Hermann Rosen, CEO of the ROSEN Group.
ROSEN contended against 17 others companies, ultimately winning first prize for its Pipe Grade Determination Service. This unique service utilizes a new generation of In-line Inspection sensor technology to determine material specifications of operational pipelines including yield strength and ultimate tensile strength. Operators benefit by being able to document, for each pipe joint, the actual pipe grade of their operating systems. Precise knowledge of these material specifications is essential in the superior evaluation of the the integrity of the pipeline.
The Global Pipeline Award is awarded annually by the Pipeline Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and presented during the Rio Pipeline Conference and the International Pipeline Conference in Calgary. The prize is awarded for a outstanding contributions, including research and development, products and services in the field of pipeline engineering.
