Shawcor Bolsters Pipeline Engineering, Integrity Management Capabilities

Shawcor, a leading global energy services company with a track record of executing some of the pipeline industry's most complex projects, has moved to enhance its pipeline engineering and integrity management services with the acquisition of Lake Superior Consulting, LLC for an undisclosed sum. The deal also includes a potential earn out payment to be made in 2016.

Lake Superior, a Duluth, Minnesota based professional services firm, specializes in pipeline engineering and integrity management services to major pipeline operators. The business operates from facilities in Minnesota, Texas, Nebraska, Kansas and North Dakota, providing pipeline design, engineering, inspection and commissioning as well as integrity management services, and has estimated 2015 revenue of approximately US$45 million. The transaction is expected to be accretive to Shawcor’s earnings per share within the next 12 months.
