DNV GL Announces New Recommended Practices To Maintain Global Pipeline Network

DNV GL, an international certification body with main locations in Germany and Norway, has collaborated with industry to update recommended practices (RPs) for pipeline maintenance. The first for the growing number of corroded pipelines worldwide, and the second for the integrity management of submarine pipelines systems.

DNV GL has announced that it is launching a joint industry project (JIP) to better understand how sour gas affects pipeline performance and reliability in deeper water.

Europe’s biggest pipeline conference took place in Berlin for the first time

Delegates from 42 different nations travelled to Berlin for the 9th Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) from 12-14 May, in order to gather information from nearly 70 presentations on the latest trends in design, construction, operation and maintenance of onshore and offshore pipelines. A new attendance record was set with over 420 participants.
