Subsea7 Wins Substantial Pipeline Contract Offshore Norway

Subsea pipeline engineering and construction company, Subsea 7, has been awarded a substantial engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract offshore Norway.
According to the company’s announcement on Tuesday, June 17, the project includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of pipeline bundles, protection covers, spools, and tie-ins using specialized vessels.
The company has already begun project management and engineering at Subsea7’s offices in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Stavanger, Norway. Fabrication of the pipelines to be undertaken at Wester, Scotland, ahead of offshore operations scheduled for 2025 through 2027.
"We are excited to have been awarded this project. Our collaboration with our clients leverages our collective experience from past and current projects,” Erik Femsteinevik, Vice President for Subsea7 Norway said in a statement.
“By engaging early in the field development process, we can optimise design solutions and contribute to a positive final investment decision. Subsea7 looks forward to a safe, efficient, and reliable field development."
Although the company did not share further details concerning the project, it classifies a substantial contract as worth between $150 million and $300 million.
The latest EPCI contract adds to the company’s long list of offshore pipeline projects it has undertaken in the recent years.
Some of the recent projects include Serica Energy’s pipeline project in the U.K, EPC contracts for offshore pipelines in Australia, BP’s contract for the TOPR project offshore Trinidad and Tobago, and Petrobas’s pipeline laying support contract in Brazil.
