Spain Opts to Transport Hydrogen through the Barcelona-Marseille "H2Med" Subsea Pipeline

Spanish government has changed its plans for supplies flowing through the subsea pipeline between Barcelona and Marseille. Initially expected to transport gas in its first phase, the pipeline will only transport green hydrogen, giving it a new name, “H2Med”.

Argentina Secures Financing for Second Phase of Critical Natural Gas Pipeline System

Belgium's Fluxys, North Sea Port and ArcelorMittal Bag EU Grant for Carbon Hub Project

Keystone Pipeline Remains Offline After Biggest Oil Spill In Operating History

With other pipelines between Canada and the United States at near capacity, there is no wiggle room to transport more oil to offset the approximately 600 000 barrels taken away by the rupture in the Keystone pipeline.

Gasunie To Bring Hydrogen To Shore With North Sea Pipeline Network

Dutch gas grid operator Gasunie will oversee development of a hydrogen network in the North Sea, noted the Netherlands Energy Minister Rob Jetten in a letter to parliament.

Part of the ambitious project is the conversion of much of the Netherlands' natural gas network to hydrogen over the coming decade.

Germany Seeking "A Boom" in Hydrogen Energy

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action said in a strategy paper over the weekend that Germany plans to develop an 1800-km hydrogen energy pipeline by 2027.

The paper also envisages Germany fostering the use of blue hydrogen and importing it during a transition period towards green hydrogen.

Santos Shut Down the Aussie Gas Field Due to a Leak in an Offshore Subsea Export Pipeline

Australian gas operator, Santos, was, on November 29, 2022, forced to shut down a gas field offshore Western Australia after the company detected a gas leak on the subsea gas export pipeline.
