Chinese Edition of Pipeline Technology Journal to be published in April for the first time

The Pipeline Technology Journal (ptj) will be available as a Chinese edition from April 2016 on. This has been agreed between the ptj-publisher and a Chinese partner company associated with PetroChina, the country’s biggest oil and gas group.

Turkish Stream Sequel: The Southern Gas Pipeline Option to Europe Lives

With the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom, Edison SpA and DEPA SA for gas deliveries across the Black Sea from Russia to Greece and ultimately Italy, Russia has signaled its interest in keeping the southern gas route option alive.

Previous recent manifestations of this option, like South Stream and Turkish Stream, have all been discarded for various reasons.

Major Peruvian Crude Oil Pipeline Breaks Spoil the Drinking Water of Local Native Communities

Two ruptures in Petroperu's main oil pipeline have spilled some 3000 barrels of crude into the Chiriaco and Morona rivers in northwestern Peru, contaminating the water supply of at least eight native Achuar communities which rely on the rivers for this purpose.

The pipeline, which normally transports 5000 - 6000 bpd, has ceased operation.

Salzgitter Group Profits From Rebounding Natural Gas Market in Europe

In keeping with the current upswing in the European natural gas market, the Salzgitter Group has announced the award of three contracts by Open Grid Europe for approximately 70,000 tons of spirally-welded large-diameter pipes.

The pipes will be used in the extension of the natural gas grid in southern and western Germany, enhancing the security of supply.
