Pipelines are the Most Economic Option for Hydrogen Transportation

In Europe for distances of up to around 10,000 km, hydrogen transport in pipelines is the most economical option. The “European Hydrogen Backbone” (EHB) study states specific transportation prices of approx. 0.16 €/kg per 1,000 km, with pipelines almost fully utilised.

Dominion Cancels $1.3 Billion Pipeline Deal With Berkshire

Algeria Improves Pipeline Export Capacity To Spain

It has been agreed that the export pipeline capacity of the subsea Medgaz natural gas pipeline that links Algeria with Spain will be expanded. It will involve the installation of a fourth turbo compressor able to increase gas exports by capacity by two bcm/year, representing an increase of 25%, reaching ten bcm/year from the fourth quarter onwards.

Keystone Pipeline Promoter Seeks Compensation From American Government

In a surprise move, Keystone pipeline promoter TC Energy Corporation, seeks compensation, due to the decision by the Biden government to cancelling of its approvals for this long-delayed project. TC Energy is asking for some $15 billion in damages, for a project yet to obtain the final go-ahead by its backers.

Massive gas leak in the Gulf of Mexico

A blaze on the sea surface of the Gulf of Mexico off Campeche was detected, early Friday morning. It looked like a large "eye of fire" according to Mexico's state oil company Pemex.

Television pictures showed orange flames resembling molten lava eye of fire not far from an offshore Pemex oil platform.

New Plans For A Boost In The Oil Production Of Saudi Arabia

The middle eastern crude oil giant Saudi Arabia is inspected to increase its crude oil production over the coming months to ten million barrels per day, forecasts recently Goldman Sachs.

According to Farouk Soussa, Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) economist at Goldman Sachs,
“We see risks to the oil sector as being significantly skewed to the upside.”

Why India cancels plans to privatise its pipeline network

India’s state-owned natural gas supplier and pipeline operator GAIL has decided to cancel plans to hive of its pipeline business. At present, GAIL owns and operates some 13,200 km of natural gas pipeline, which accounts for around 70% of the country’s natural gas pipeline network.
