Burst Liquid Petroleum Pipeline Leads To Yet Another Environmental Disaster in Russia

Russian experts are investigating the scene of the accident for possible environmental damage after a fire broke out on an underwater pipeline in Siberia.  Initial reports indicated that around 700 tons of liquid petroleum gas were observed in the affected pipeline section, explained governmental speaker Andrej Wil this past Sunday.

Petronas Gas To Build 42-km Gas Pipeline in Selangor, Malaysia

Petronas Gas, a subsidiary of internationally integrated oil and gas giant Petronas in Malaysia, will be constructing a 42-km long gas pipeline from its existing Peninsular Gas Utilization (PGU) II to a power plant in Pulau Indah, Selangor.  The cost of the pipeline an estimated RM541 million.

Open Grid Europe and Thyssengas Complete 216-km Zeelink Pipeline

The last weld seam for the Zeelink Gas Pipeline was completed yesterday at the Pressure and Measuring Station in Marbeck / Western Münsterland. This so-called Golden Weld Seam symbolizes the end of the work on the pipeline itself and with this the final milestone for the pipeline contractors.

Gas To Kaliningrad Resumes After Sudden Disruption

Gas supplies from Russia to its western enclave Kaliningrad abruptly ended on Monday of this week and within 24 hours resumed.

Alexander Rolbinov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, said that gas transit had been restored. He also emphasized that the region had switched to pipeline gas.

Indian Oil to monetise pipeline assets

India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman in a recent budget speech announced plans to monetise (privatise) existing oil and gas pipeline infrastructure, which is operated by various state-owned assets including the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), gas utility GAIL (India) Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL).
