The Canadian National Energy Board (NEB) has announced that it has delayed the release of its recommendation report on Kinder Morgan Inc.’s proposed $5.4 billion, 980 km, 12 pump stations Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project by five months to acquire additional information on the project.

Coinciding with the upgrade of the Bapco refinery in Bahrain, an agreement totaling $300 million on the combined onshore / offshore 115-kilometre oil pipeline, 73 kms of which will run overland and the rest under the Gulf, has been made between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Voestalpine Wins Major Supply Contract for 114 km Natural Gas Pipeline Project in UAE

In difficult marketing conditions the Voestalpine Group has been awarded a contract by the National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to supply 95,000 tons of premium line pipe plates for the 114 km high - pressure Integrated Gas Development Pipeline (IGD-E) project in Abu Dhabi.

Transnational Oil Pipeline Linking Nepal to India To Be Constructed

Nepal and India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the construction of a 41 km transnational oil pipeline, culminating two decades of intermittent negotiation.

Minister for Commerce and Supplies Sunil Bahadur Thapa and India's Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective governments.

Eni Discovers Largest Gas Field Ever in the Mediterranean

Eni, the Italian oil and gas giant, has startled the petroleum industry with the announcement of a supergiant gas discovery at its Zohr prospect in Egypt's offshore economic waters. The field could potentially hold 30 trillion cubic feet of lean natural gas in place, the largest ever made in the Mediterranean Sea.

[Updated] Polarled Reports First European Pipeline Ever To Cross The Arctic Circle

In an unprecedented feat of engineering for the Polarled project the first pipeline crossing the Arctic Circle was laid this past week by a consortium of Statoil - led companies.

The 482 km long 36 inch wide pipeline will run from Nyhamna in western Norway to the Aasta Hansteen field, creating a new "gas highway" from the Norwegian Sea to Europe.

GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and AB Amber Grid, the Polish and Lithuanian gas transmission operators and principals behind the Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania (GIPL) project, have jointly agreed to extend the submission date of the Capacity Requests Forms for the Non-Binding phase of the Open Procedure, which began 31 July 2015, to 31 August 2015.

Sempra Energy Secures Gas Pipeline Transportation Contract in Chihuahua, Mexico

Sempra Energy, an American natural gas utilities company based in San Diego, announced that it has been awarded a natural gas transportation contract worth an estimated $108 million in Chihuahua, Mexico by the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE). The award will be executed through Sempra's majority-owned IEnova and its subsidiary, Gasoducto de Aguaprieta.
