Brigham McCown Named New President Of Alyeska Pipeline

Brigham A. McCown has become the next president of Alyeska Pipeline Service Company this month. The selection was announced by the TAPS Owners Committee.

McCown is the second company president hired as an Alyeska employee following Vice Admiral Thomas Barrett, USCG (Ret.), who was brought on in January 2011 and is retiring.

GRP Shelter Provide Advanced Protection for Offshore Process Analyzers

Two outdoor shelters made from glassfibre-reinforced polyester - supplied by Intertec - provide lightweight and corrosion-resistant protection for gas chromatograph analyzers and process transmitters mounted above new natural gas export pipelines connecting the platform to an onshore UK terminal.

Pipeline Technology Conference 2020: Dinner Location Fixed

The organizers of the upcoming 15th Annual Pipeline Technology Conference in Berlin, Germany have announced the location of the traditional conference dinner. This year conference participants are invited to visit the Trabrennbahn Mariendorf, one of the most successful harness racing tracks in Germany, hosting more than 650 races a year.

ENTSOG and Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) publish new System Development Map

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), in cooperation with Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), have published the eight edition of the System Development map, which illustrates existing and planned gas infrastructure and gas capacities.

Nord Stream 2 Construction stopped - Russia Counts on the EU

Following the US sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and the halt of all remaining construction works, Russia now expects the European Union to find a way out of the situation. The EU has an interest in its own energy security at acceptable prices, said the Russian Vice-Chancellor Dmitry Kozak.
