The 5-day seminar on "Pipeline life-cycle extension strategies - new technologies in operation" gives detailed information about well-approved strategies for a failure-free and economic operation and maintenance of high-pressure oil and gas pipeline systems. On 1 March 2013 Dr. Thomas Hüwener provisionally took over the technical directorship of Open Grid Europe from Heinz Watzka who left the company at his own request for personal reasons on 28 February 2013.

Dr. Thomas Hüwener will be new member of the ptc advisory committee.

The 2-day seminar on "In-line inspection of transmission pipelines" started directly after the 8th Pipeline Technology Conference on 21 March 2013.
