Gas Flows To Germany Resume in Nord Stream 1

Nord Stream 1 operator, Gazprom, has begun to ship reduced amounts of gas through Nord Stream 1 now that maintenance work has ended after a 10 day hiatus.  There was a collective sigh of relief from EU countries, as there had been concerns across the region that there could be a complete shutdown of gas supplies via the pipeline.

CPC Pipeline Operations Will Not Be Halted

An earlier ruling of a district court in the Russian Federation to suspend Caspian Pipeline Consortium's operations because of alleged oil spills was overturned by a higher appellate court and leveled instead a fine of 200,000 rubles ($3,300).

Nord Stream 1: Russian Foreign Ministry Implies Gas Will Flow Once Turbine Is Returned

With Nord Stream 1 in the throes of its annual check up and Europeans wondering if gas transmission will resume after the final examination, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that the future of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline to Germany would depend on gas demand in Europe and Western sanctions against Russia.

Gas Pipelines Target of Russia's War In Ukraine

The increasingly long and protracted Russian war of aggression in Ukraine entered a new phase this past week when Russian shelling in the Zaporizhzhia region of eastern Ukraine damaged a gas pipeline that fed 17 Gas Distribution Stations (GDS) and 100 thousand consumers in Melitopol, Energodard, Dniprorudne, and other towns.

"There is actually a surplus of natural gas" distributed around the world, says Tagesschau, a German national and international television news service produced by the editorial staff of ARD-aktuell on behalf of the German public-service television network ARD.  The problem is a simple one ~ we can't get to the gas, as gas, in contrast to oil, is difficult to transport.

Nord Stream 1 Shuts Down ~ Canada to Send Repaired Turbine
