Governments and energy companies are increasingly looking at hydrogen, the universe's most abundant element, as an alternative to fossil fuels, and say that without hydrogen the world cannot aim to to be a net zero carbon economy by 2050.

A motley coalition of nationalities and supranational organizations have reconciled differences to help construct a natural gas pipeline running from Israel into the Gaza Strip.

Petronas Gas, a subsidiary of internationally integrated oil and gas giant Petronas in Malaysia, will be constructing a 42-km long gas pipeline from its existing Peninsular Gas Utilization (PGU) II to a power plant in Pulau Indah, Selangor.  The cost of the pipeline an estimated RM541 million.

The last weld seam for the Zeelink Gas Pipeline was completed yesterday at the Pressure and Measuring Station in Marbeck / Western Münsterland. This so-called Golden Weld Seam symbolizes the end of the work on the pipeline itself and with this the final milestone for the pipeline contractors.

At first glance, it seems the new Joe Biden administration will be adopting the same punitive policy vis-vis Nord Srteam 2 as its predecessor:  Nord Stream 2 should not go into operation and sanctions should be used as a means to this end.
