NEXUS Gas Pipeline Traversing Northern Ohio To Be Built

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission gave final authorization Wednesday to begin construction of the 36 inch, 255-mile underground NEXUS gas pipeline through northern Ohio. Communities along the way have tried to stop or re-route the pipeline, as they are concerned that it poses a threat to the safety and well-being of the area's inhabitants. Lawsuits are still pending.

Construction on 1046-km Natural Gas Liquids Pipeline Begins in Texas

EPIC Y Grade Pipeline, a 1046 km natural gas liquids (NGL) carrier, linking NGL reserves in the Permian and Eagle Ford Basins in New Mexico and West Texas to Gulf Coast refiners, has commenced construction running alongside the EPIC crude oil pipeline.

As the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq continues to count the ballots of its controversial independence referendum, President Erdogan of Turkey warned the Kurds that he would cut off the oil pipeline from northern Iraq to the outside world -- depriving the Erbil government of its principal source of income - if the KRG does not back down.

Sound Energy receives Morocco gas-line funding proposal

Sound Energy, a European and African focused upstream gas company, obtained a non-bonding funding proposal of up to US$100 million for its eastern Morocco gas project. The proposal has been made by the Advisory & Finance Group Investment Bank (AFG) on behalf of a range of institutions, including shareholders of OGIF (Oil & Gas Investment Fund).

New European Gas Pipeline Link (EUGAL) to receive it's first pipes

The preparations for the construction of the European gas pipeline link EUGAL are making progress. From Friday, 1 September 2017, the first pipes will be delivered to several pipe storage points until construction of EUGAL starts in mid-2018. The storage points are located along the planned route, which will require a total of 47,000 pipes to be completed.

Another Pipeline Project in North Dakota Seeks to Avoid the Mistakes of Dakota Access

Contested Sabal Trail Pipeline now operational

After four years of pitched battle with homeowners and environmental groups opposed to the construction of a 829 km, 36 inch gas pipeline from central Alabama through southwest Georgia to Orange County, Florida, the Sabal Trail pipeline system has been placed in commercial operation.

Spectra Energy Partners, NextEra Energy and Duke Energy will jointly operate the pipeline system.
