November sees the first testing of the new German Zeelink gas pipeline

Open Grid Europe has announced that its newly completed Zeelink gas pipeline will be tested in November and is expected to become operational, in spite of Covid restrictions as soon as March 2021. This 600-million-euro pipeline is the fruition of a joint venture between Open Grid Europe GmbH (OGE, 75 percent) and Thyssengas GmbH (25 percent).

Husky Energy pipeline shut-in after 900,000 litres of produced water leaks

Calgary-based integrated energy company Husky Energy has been forced to temporarily shut one of its north-western Albertan pipelines in response to a pipeline incident in low-lying wetland some 15 km south-east of Rainbow Lake.

Colombia updates gas pipeline tariff regime

The Colombian state regulator of electricity, oil and gas markets, known as the Comisión de Regulación de Energía y Gas (CREG), has just published a new set of guidelines as part of its tariff regime update, known as resolution 160 of 2020.

TechnipFMC awarded EPCI contract by Equinor

Norwegian-based oil and gas major Equinor, has awarded British- based engineering services provider TechnipFMC ,with an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract for the North Sea Breidablikk Pipelay project, located near the existing Grane platform off the coast from Stavanger, west Norway’s capital of oil.

Trans Adriatic Pipeline fills with Azeri gas

This October sees the completion of the filling up of the entire length of the 878-kilometer-long (545.5-mile-long) Trans-Adriatic Pipeline between the Greek/Turkish border and the pipeline receiving terminal at the heel of Italy, reports the project promoter Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG. It has just taken four-and-a-half years since the start of construction to reach this stage.
