Global Pipeline Community to Meet Again in Berlin in May 2023

After two years of online Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) and a hybrid event, ptc 2023 will once again emphasize face-to-face networking. From 8-11 May 2023, participants from all over the world will again travel to Berlin for the Pipeline Technology Conference and exhibition. About two-thirds of ptc visitors come from abroad.

Pipeline Technique Completes Triple Acquisition from Stanley Black & Decker

Pipeline Technique (PTL), a market-leading firm in onshore and offshore infrastructure welding, coating, and inspection technology, on August 23, 2022 finalized its transformational acquisition of triple businesses from Stanley Black & Decker. This is the second acquisition for 2022 after the company acquired Global Project Services in April.

Yara and Northern Lights Signs World’s First Cross-border CO2 Transport and Storage Deal

Yara and Northern Lights, on August 29, 2022, signed a partnership deal to transport carbon dioxide captured in an industrial facility in the Netherlands and permanently store it in Western Norway. This will be the first cross-border CO2 transport and storage contract when the commercial terms are finalized.

Construction of Poland – Slovakia Gas Pipeline Completed— Operations to Begin in Oct. 2022

A ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Poland – Slovakia gas interconnector was held in Strachocina, Poland, on Friday, August 26, with representatives from the Polish and Slovak governments among the dignitaries who graced the occasion. The new gas connection is scheduled for commercial operation in October 2022.

Russia and Iran Move to Create One of the Largest Global Natural Gas Cartel

Last month, Gazprom and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) signed a $40 billion Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Phillips 66 on A Move to Buy Pipeline Operator DCP Midstream

USA-headquartered refiner Phillips 66 (PSX.N) has tendered an offer to acquire public units of DCP Midstream (DCP.N) in a bid to scale up the company's value and output. According to a Reuters report published on Wed August 17, 2022, the deal would bulk up Phillip's natural gas liquids business and value the pipeline operator at $7.2 billion.
