Azerbaijan to Expand Natural Gas Pipeline to Meet Growing European Gas Demand

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev yesterday announced plans to increase the capacity of the country's natural gas pipeline to meet the growing demand in Europe.

According to Azernews, President Aliyev discussed the expansion during meetings with heads of leading German companies in Berlin.

Pembina Pipeline's Cedar LNG Project Secures British Columbia's Environmental Approval

Pembina Pipeline Corporation announced yesterday that its Cedar LNG project had received environmental approval from the British Columbia government, Reuters reported on March 14.

Cedar has also been granted its first permit from the province's energy regulator for an approximately 8.5-kilometer pipeline connecting the project to the Coastal GasLink pipeline.

Canadian Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Cost Increases by 44% to $22.35 Billion

After a cost estimate hike last month, Trans Mountain pipeline faces yet another price hike of 44% from last year's estimated cost, Trans Mountain Corporation (TMC) announced.

According to a Reuters report on Friday, the cost of the government-owned Trans Mountain oil pipeline expansion has increased to $22.35 billion (C$30.9 billion).
